The Batik Gallery is part of the compound of the Museum Tekstil. It was founded in October 2010 in cooperation with the lndonesian Batik Foundation, with an aim to highlight the achievement of batik as Indonesia’s non-tangible cultural heritage. The day-to-day operation of the Batik Gallery is managed by the museum. Inside the gallery, visitors can see more than 100 batik pieces from all over lndonesia, as well as batik equipment and information about batik process and natural dyes used in batik. The collection in the Batik Gallery belongs to the lndonesian Batik Foundation.
